Rev. Tamario M. Howze, M.Div.

The Rev. Tamario "Mario" Howze is a native of Durham, NC, and is known for his passion for evangelism, community outreach, and mental health awareness. He believes his God-given assignment is to help individuals living in under-resourced communities identify and live into their purpose by providing access to resources, mentorship, and spiritual guidance while sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. ​

 

Tamario answered the call to ministry in 2012 and is an ordained Elder in the AME Zion Church. He has successfully completed several pastoral appointments including Kesler Temple AMEZ Church, Solid Rock AMEZ Church, and Jonesboro Chapel AMEZ. As a visionary and senior leader, he sought to leave each church better than he found them. ​

Tamario earned a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School (2018) and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Health Science degree from Campbell University. He is also a proud graduate of NC A& T university where he earned a BA in Business Management and an M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering.​

 

Tamario is happily married to Rev. Elizabeth Howze, resides in Durham, NC and is the proud father of Asha and Asher. He finds joy and fulfillment in serving alongside his fellow siblings in Christ and is a member of several community organizations within the Durham community.
